Having a brand new computer means squat unfortunately. There are firms out there still peddling 256mb of RAM as good. Unfortunately, this isn't enough to load the editor and the game is likely to suffer as well.

So, what are the general stats of your PC in terms of CPU and RAM?

as the man said, 224mb ram (256 u have) is not enough to run the editor, go to your local component dealer and buy another stick of 256mb to make your machine 512mb. even then you should really these days have a minimum 1gb (1024mb)

one stick of 256mb should not really cost that much either these days, and it's just a case of opening up your pc and slotting it next to your other one. simple.

you really need like for like, all you need to do is open the back/side of the computer, look for the memory strip and insert your other new stick of memory in a vacant slot next to your existing one. You could take it to the shop to have them do it for you, but it's a waste of money, this really is the simplest upgrade you will ever do. just open insert and close again restart pc and hey presto. and yes this should make it faster it work faster, and be able to use your processor to the max.
