as the man said, 224mb ram (256 u have)
No. He actually has 224mb of RAM. Another 32mb is being used as onboard graphics card which utilises your existing RAM for its own. It looks like you got a budget system which relied on having a decent CPU as a selling point. Was it £200-£300? If more, then you were robbed.

You'll likely need to buy about another 512mb of RAM (one stick of it taking it to 768 (736 after Graphics RAM)) to be on the safe side.

Go to the following link, download it and run the application:
http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/loader.asp?agree=y...gr%2Easp%3Fcat%3Dram

This will determine the RAM you need to buy and the various choices.

Tommy. Just buy a 1gb stick of memory after finding out your memory type at the link above. It'll probably cost about £70-£100 (looking at laptop RAM here which is more expensive) for 1gb.

My personal opinion is: 'you was robbed mate'. But, if it works then I suppose it's ok.

That would be a good idea Tommy, yes. They will most likely charge for 'labour' which, to fit RAM would set you back another £10. They'll also probably want to load up the computer to check that it's been installed ok so remove any hardcore porn from your desktop before handing it over!
