Where to start...
You mentioned players like Southall and Seaman and yet you missed out Gordon Banks.
Another '66 name, Geoff Hurst. I mean, you can name most of the England 1966 team as legends of the game.
Ryan Giggs. A great winger down the left, even now.
Roy Keane. Although he's not British. :/
Alan Shearer. Teddy Sheringham (if you're going to include Merson, then you might as well include Sheringham. My **** logic!).
Dixie Dean, possibly the greatest goalscorer of all time who played in Britain.
I could go on and on about players you've missed but then nobody else would have anything to add...

If you compare him to a blind paraplygic, then relatively speaking, Gary Mabbutt was a indeed great player.
