It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Brazilian league - tactical help urgently required!

i currently in my second season with brazilian second division team ceara sitting rather uncomfortably in 15th place. i had a mediocre 1st season (4 points and two spots of the 4 automatic promotion spots) and wanted to step it up this season.

But i cant.

I just cant seem to find ane semblence of form with any tactic. i really dont know what formation is best suited to this league and my players. many of my attacking playes have good stats - apart from pace. my fullbacks are attacking and my defenders are average - although i have managed to secure schmoller on loan for the season. in other words i have a typicall brazilian squad. My players are certainly capable of promotion from this league

my formations

i have had the most success with the above, the screeny on the left being a slightly edited version of the inbuilt 4-1-3-2 attcking formation, and the other one being a heavily edited custom one.

ANY advice would be most welcome.

Cheers

Hi there,

I only play in the brazilian league and pre-patch, the only tactic that worked great and gave me tons of titles was RYWolverine on this forum.

Regards

Brazil's fullbacks are nearly always very attacking players so it makes no sense trying to play a solid back 4 type of tactic.

I use one with the FB's on the WB line with forward arrows up to AM.
2 DC's & a DMC with a back arrow to the DC line.
2 MC's one more defensive than the other
an AMC & 2 strikers (one with lower mentality & a free role).

Experiment with setting your wingbacks as playmakers.

It's a very attacking tactic so you probably wont get too many clean sheets but I nearly always score more than the opposition. Isn't that the way Brazilian footie is meant to be played?

Seems to be working better post patch (probably cos my defensive line is quite high).

Have a search through the forum for a thread by Sir Bobby called Samba futebol that's where I got the shape from.

He recomends his download as a template & I found it a usefull starting point but I made a lot of changes & tweaks.

yeh i tried my own version of that samba futebol pre patch without much success...i was left very exposed at the back. might as well give it another try though.

the wolverine tactic (slightly tweaked) seemed to work well - i won the first 2 games comprehensively, but then i slumped to 2 consecutive defeats and a draw.

the curse of inconsistancy strikes again!

any other advice?

cheers.

if you play without wingers means that you need some kind of support of the fb's. Why don't you try a tactic with 3 defenders?

thanks
