now i have been playing cm/fm for for about 5 or 6 years.
Am i the only one who is finding that no matter who i am or who i buy i just seem to struggle winning games now yes fm 2006 was to easy but i thought the basics were there for a fantastic game it didnt need to change that much i love what they have done with the scouting and coaching that has improved 100%
But being manchester united and using a default tactic you should be able to easily finish in the top 3 but in 07 you are more likely to finish in the relegation zone.
i have tried downloaded tactics for a season and i still cant seem to get them to work and if they do work you then have to keep chopping and changing from tactic to tactic and from a person who just wants to pick it up and play the game the enjoyment has dimmed a little

It is clear in this version that the default tactics will not be overly successful without some adjustments to take account of player abilities. Looking at the Forum, there are many players who appear to have found a working tactic but they appear to be based on the 4-4-2 diamond. It also appears that the mid season re ranking of teams described in wwfan's 07 thread does have a marked effect and so some mid season adjustmenet is neccessary.

but i cant get a tactic to work even ones that have been created that other users on the forum say work but they just dont seem to work for me there is just no consistency in it one week you might beat chelsea then the next week you get beat by a conference side now i realise that things can change but as i said i just cant seem to find any consistency any help would be appreciated

Read the unofficial tactics bible thread up top. Or post your tactic up and be very detailed about the team and player instructions you currently use. Also where the tactic is failing you etc.

i am using minimal fuss v3 with celtic now i didnt win any of the pre season matches but i didnt read to much into that as it takes time for the players to get used to the style of play but when i get my ass handed to me 6 games into the season by falkirk it is a worry
