This is for everyone who is struggling like i was. I'm convinced if you follow these instructions carefully you'll have a lot of sucess and all credit must go to FusS really.
1. Download FusS V3 tactic (hyperlink at top)
2. Go to the match with very very different tactics (i used the standard 4-1-3-2) but dont start the game
3. In your pre-match talk apply the FusS' V3 tactics
You must
- Set one of your strikers as a target man
- Make sure your two center midfeilders are the right way round. The player settings make one more attacking and one more defnsive so no point putting a Pablo Aimar in the defensive role.
- If you have a good team (Prem top 6 on stats) up the tempo 2 - 4 notches
4. Make one or two small changes pre-match or at half time EVERY SINGLE MATCH.
- Swap your strikers positons
- Swap over your target man if your other striker is capable
- Set a small side arrow from your target man towards the other striker.
- *FusS also suggests changing delivery to target man but i haven't bothered with that one
5. Wish your teams luck against tough opposition. Tell them they can win against other teams.
6. To hold onto a lead change one of your strikers to a defensive midfeilder. Remember to change his player instructions to match the more defensivly minded centre midfeilder.
7. Encourage at half time, never tell them you're pleased of thrilled till after the final whistle.
I am playing as Newcastle and was in a poor 12th place after 13 games in my second season, Using these tactics i finished 4th and won the UEFA cup. I've since won 3 consecutive Premiership titles, two league cups and two champions league in the following 3 seasons.
I welcome all feedback on these ideas and instructions. I give all credit to FusS and the people who contributed to his tactic thread. Please let me know how you get on, i'm confident this is the quickest and easiest way to success so good luck.
*FusS i hope you don't mind me posting this a new topic i didn't think it would really fit into your thread and i wanted the struggling people to be able to see it and pick it up straight away.
Hi...which version of the tactic, I assume you mean V3.
I am soooo in need of a decent tactic to work with 7.0.1
I had a decent 4-1-3-2 that brought me all the glory but it fails now. I cannot seem to get it going again consistantly...
Cheers for the heads up...So many tactics on that site aswell!
Nice one...First game in saw improvment against Ipswich in the cup...I only have one problem I have bought my players around that failed 4-1-3-2 tactic...
But should be able to do what you are suggesting with the changes etc...
I'll let you know how it goes
Yeah I had previously used a 4-2-3-1 system. Wingers were top of my short list in the transfer window.
Because your wingers are always going forward i've had no problem using AML players like Duff even though he's down as a natural AML and an unconvicing ML he's had one great season after another.

I was going to give it 10 games before responding back to you...but after 3 the difference is unblieveable!
Beat Ipswich 2-0 Wigan away 3-1 and Charlton at home 4-0!
Very solid but as you suggest the small switch seems to make it ver effective ( I used to do that kind of thing anyway)...I dont think I have ever had matches with so many highlights aswell!
What with completley revamping my training (yes Cleon its back to BIG green arrows) and this tactic, looks like I can enjoy it all agin

It would seem, under this setup, that your team is gonna practice a tactic all the time that they'll never use in a match? This seems completely unrealistic and I just couldn't stomach doing that to fool the game A.I.
And, really, it shouldn't even work in FM. No real life team could operate effectively, in a game situation, using a new tactical scheme they've never even practiced.

Then don't do it.
You could also argue that it is unrealist when the AI switches formations half way through a game.
If this thread helps just one person who has been struggling with learning the tactics I would consider it a success.
