Hi guys. After the patch I'm really having difficulties in defending particularly in away games. I'm playing with Watford and first season was going well till january and after that it was really all downhill from there ( from 3-4 spot to 9-12). I was really conceding alot before january but selling my goal machine Marlon King didnt do any good to my goal ratio By the end of the season I had conceded over 60 goals and finished at 11th place.Biggest lost of the season was 7-1 against arsenal away. Now in the second season i've got couple of better defenders in my team but I'm still leaking goals from left and right.

I'd like to know what kind of instructions would you recommend to my defenders for my away games. I'm playing 4-4-2 with quite high closing down midfield 10-18. One of my MC's is litte defensive than the other ( mentalities about 5-7 and 10-12). I've got pretty fast defenders with pace of 10-16 with the fullback more pace than DC's. Mentalities for DC's are 5 and for DL/DR 8. No fwr for any of them but mixed rwb for DL/DR. passing about 8 for DL/DR and 12 for DC's. Width is about 11-13.

So if anyone have some tips for making things better I could really use them. Basically I'd like to hear how people set their defense when playing with a little lower skilled defenders against very good opponents since I'm getting really killed out there with my own setting.

What's your defensive line set at?

My defensive line was about 7 in the first season but i've now put it around 10-13

That's fairly high for poor quality defenders at a high level. Try 6 for defensive line, upping the closing down for your full-backs and setting them to direct passing.
