It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default How do you define "dramatic alterations to the style of play

S.I. says in the tips and hints the folowing:

Quote:
-Constantly changing your tactic and making dramatic alterations to the style of play will not help your players settle or find their rhythm and is likely to have an adverse affect on the team's performances.
So my question is, what do they mean with that?:

The tactic?

The passing style/Tempo

Team Instructions

Individual Intructions

The first one is obvious tactics Constantly changing your tactic will make some damage.

The second one The passing style/Tempo it's really the style so u shouldn't change it also, but this only refers to your atacking style so, and it's my opinion, the team instructions shouldn't be changed also, what goes against the usual standard here in the forum, that u should make diferent aproaches to the game in team instructions either u are playing home or away

So what to change playing Home or Away? Again it's my opinion that u should change the individual intructions like mentality in something like this

IF the sum of all mentalitys of your players HOME is imagine 110 you should change it to 95 that's almost going down two points on the defenders and midfielders and one point down on fowards and wingers.

What do U think?

I'm Trying this now and will say something after

Well by dramatic I always thing a change in shape of formation and a total change of style of play. For example if you are playing a fast tempo game and hitting teams on the break. But at half time you change it to a slow patient build up game.

Thats how I always definded it.

Yes but thats the style of play in attack, and changing it on half time, i'm saying on the long run, after 10 ou 20 matches shouldnt your team instructions always be the same only changing the individual intructions?

Its not only attack at all, it was just an example. You shoudl change your team and player settings tio adapt to the oppistion and their tactics imo. This isn't classed as drastic changes imo

True But what i'm saying why change team settings?
Notice this every year every FM or CM theres a tactic that cracks the game, that u play with and u don't have to change anytinhg and u win almost every time ( no changes in team or individual settings)

This year this tactic hasn't appear yet and when we saw that we should play diferent home/away we ran to change team settings and what i'm asking is if anyone has tried to play always with the same team instructions only changing the players instructions.
