i am working on giving my DR/DL a greater involvement in the build up of attacks..
I might prove risky V sides with wingers, but at home when they defend against me, i found i was camped in the opponents half continually recycling the ball into their penalty area.

finding it hard to work out what settings are best..
cos as usual you win all pre-season 5-0 or 6-0. Then you come to the season and loose everything..
I have concede 2 goals per game, most anoying thing is, 2 were 35yrd screamers, rest were either from corners or direct free kicks.
Every game i lost i dominated possesion and chances.

I'm playing lowly Torslanda in the Swedish second division. Our chairman wanted me to stay clear of relegation and the media prediction was 8th.
I went for the WM tactic with basically the same settings that were discussed in the earlier (now closed) thread.
Played 20, won 16, drew 2 and lost 2 finishing 9 points clear of the runner up. Scoring 55 and conceding 17 (scored most and conceded least in the league). I believe that this tactic has loads of potential and it's a completely different game post-patch.
Just wanted to give some feedback and thank you for the inspiration... Champions League, prepare for mighty Torslanda!
Cheers from Sweden!

Any further thought on this Cleon?
So far in my Reading game I have found this formation average. Works well at Home when I can be a bit more attacking.
I'm trying to use players in the wide st roles that have more winger qualities than a normal st
finding it hard to get the blend rightin away games though.

OK an update for my Torslanda team... I was recently promoted and expected a tough season battling in the lower part of the table. 26 games later (15 wins, 11 drawn, 0 lost) I'm promoted again.
Seriously this tactic (thread) is not getting enough attention. Go ahead, give it a go if you're up for it.

| I agree wholeheartedly. After struggling to setup any of the other wonder tactics on the board, I tried this with my Hradec Kralove team and was STUNNED at the results. 64 scored, 31 conceded over 34 games and a 4th place finish. Taking into account that I have no money to work with, I'm very impressed.
I'm usually very skeptical of three back systems, but this one defends exceptionally well, while being lethal up front. Considering this tactic hasn't been tweaked for the patch, I'd say you've put together a great tactic Cleon!

I'm trying to implement this for my NEw York team in MLS. success through the preseason, but that was expected.
I'm curious to hear if cleon has any updates on his version (or others).
I like the way my DMCs are falling back to form a nice 5 man, smile type of back line, it appears to be very effective even though I have set the DMCs to press often.
I wonder how others have set up their ST/R and ST/L. I have FWD Runs on mixed, and cross ball on often to encourage them getting into wide positions.
Also, I'm playing a defensive mentality with shortish passing and width on normal.
thoughts? suggestions?
