I'm managing Fiorentina, this is my second season with them after securing a mid table position in the first. In the first 10 games Luca Toni scored 12 goals, and demanded a new contract. "You cheeky bastard" I thought, but offered him a new one anyway. Here is the problem, the **** wants 52 grand per week (sterling), and my board will only allow me to pay him 44 grand. I tried to make up for that with extra fees, but he declined, and handed in a transfer request, after which his morale dropped, and he got injured in training for 2 months. Is there a way to "up" the wage for a player of Toni's calibre? I mean come on, he's in top form, scoring like a machine, and the board are being silly.
Second thing is, Chelsea made a bid of 11 million for my left defender Pasqual, I did not want to sell him at all, yet Fiorentina's chairman sold him anyway "over my head", because he thought the deal was "too good to reject", bugger off man, I should be the one who decides whether or not a player is for sale in the first place.
