Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Opponent Instructions

I seemed to be doing ok with my tactics but i was increasingly frustrated by the AI teams scoring from 1-3 chances even though i was getting 7-8+ chances and the game ended up 1-1.

So... i looked after reading a thread into the Opponent Instructions, pre game and do the following;

Strikers - Push onto weaker foot, close down always and tight marking (only if slower than my defenders)

MR/L + AMR/L - Push onto weaker foot, close down.

The effect of which in my first 11 games has seen me concede less and in 8 of the games one or in many cases both strikers have been subbed after 60 odd mins.

Also the AI tends to swap a winger with a MC... i suppose this is good as the player is now out of position.

Word of Caution: If players are subbed or the AI changes players or formation make sure you adjust instructions otherwise you risk your players closing everyone down and being pulled out of position.

Has anyone else had success with this or do you do anything different?
