4-4-2 vs Chelsea 4-3-3? Can someone offer some insight?
ive had so much success with a flat 4-4-2 in every version of the game, that i decided to start a new game with the new patch with my beloved liverpool and utilize a chelsea-like 4-3-3 with sissoko in front of the back four, alonso and gerrard as MC's, with an AML, AMR, and Kuyt as a lone FC. it seemed to work great for the first 6 games...i scored like 18 goals, let in 3. after that, i hit a slump, and have not been doing well.
Can someone who has played both tactics give me some insight on whether one works better than the other for them? I know i can go back to 4-4-2 and do well, but i would like to keep that central midfield of sissoko, alonso, and gerrard together. any thoughts?

Im playing as Chelsea and use the 4-3-3/4-5-1 formation and it works well for me. It doesnt seem to produce alot of goals in all games so a strong defence is recomended for those games where its goin 2 b a game won by the odd goal. Saying this there are games when the goals are banged in. The target man supply can also be an issue with only one man up front play to his strengths. Also i find that a slow(I play almost medium) tempo and short passing help me due to the lack of forward players when the ball is won back.
