Now, Its understandable to ask for advice etc. However just something I have been thinking about, is that would you consider it a form of cheating.

Obviously my reasons for thinking this stem from the fact, part of the game, is scouting for your own players and getting the maximum potential out of your best youngster. So would looking down lists of 'wonderkids' typing them in and buying them, really bring you satisfaction.

I am not going giving a one sided argument, as I am still unsure as to what I make of it all. But obviously there is going to be a lot of bias on here, but someone of you may agree with me to some extent ... possibly

Wonderkids only develop if you play them often, otherwise their physical stats drop. I've found that even loaning them out doesnt develop them as well as giving them first team exposure. League cup (a la Arsenal, Liverpool et al) is a good avenue for this.

I also usually have at least one youth player on the bench, that way if we are more than 3 goals in front on 60 mins, I can rest a first-teamer and bring the kid on.

Works well with Cardenas, Millan, Guardado, etc, even at the bigger teams.

The skill/enjoyment (for me) is in watching their achievements, then turning down 20-30M bids from AC Milan and Real Madrid after a couple of seasons (or accepting it depending on the status of your club).

One of the reasons why I'm enjoying my Nottingham Forest save so much atm is because I'm in 2014 so have had to spend hours searching & scouting regens to find the best ones.

I dont think it's cheating knowing who all the better players on the game are, the only wonderkid I actually signed out of all of those on here is Bojan.

Yes, this is all well and good. But consider this to be a player you found on the forums rather than off your own back, would the satisfaction still be there?

Why wouldn't it be. It is the same as using your scouts to find players, or using real life transfers. Technically you didn't find them someone else did but you can still reap the rewards and satisfaction when they turn good. Not every player on these boards turns out good for everyone.
I've looked at some of the players suggested here, bought some and left others but I always get my scouts to check them out before I buy to see how they will fit in with the team etc. In a sense it is a form of cheating but tell me a real life manager who wouldn't take advice from fellow managers when looking to buy a player for a certain position. Don't think you'll find too many.

If people don't want to find players off a forum, then there not gonna be posting in here are they?

The forums are just like an extended paper, you might see a players name mentioned in the paper so you check them out. He looks good, you take a closer look and buy him.

Plus what udimion says, just because hes good for someone else doesn't mean he will be for all.

i dont believe it to be cheating, its just a different way of scouting for players and getting a lot more answers, i personally get more satisfaction because i know that there going to turn out good and it makes my team better, however i do scout them ingame unless ive had them before, and as years progress in your game, you can no longer rely on this forum because names are generated at random, so in a way, its only helping you start the game off
