I played 2.5 seasons with Porto before moving on (to Atletico Madrid) when I felt I needed a new challenge.

My eventual team was:

I won the league twice, and the team went on to win it the year I left. Also won the Portuguese Cup twice, Champs Lge final first season (a real surpise!) and winners in the second (slightly less so), Euro Super Cup, Club World Championship.

I was surprised at how competitive that cheaply-assembled team was in the Champs Lge. The only big-money transfer booty I got was about £12m for Quaresma, who didn't fit into my system. I sold Pepe, but only for about £8m, because he wanted to leave for a new challenge.

So did I, once I had won everything. I had thought it would take a lot longer! I also got frustrated that the only players who would improve my team were unaffordable and/or didn't want to come (usually both). So I went to Atletico, languishing in 16th in March 2009, and got them up to 5th.

The AI manager who replaced me at Porto has sold lots of the better players for tiny sums e.g. Welliton £4m, Pavlov £1m, Cavalieri £2.5m. I don't think these are amazing in all games, but they are in mine! I'm also Brazil manager and gave Welliton his debut, in which he scored. Check him out - can play MC, AMC and FC.

I have decided to continue my game again after a break things, are going well, Anderson and Renteria are in good form, 25 in 24 for Renteria and 16 in 30 for Anderson. 5 points clear in the league, Knocked out of the cl by fenerbahce (Kezman ) and i'm in the semis of the cup
