Default Jimmy Briand - Two '10' Ratings in a row - Simply amazing

Ever had a player get two 10s in a row?

I experienced this for the 1st time with Jimmy Briand. This guy is bloody amazing and I can't believe I never bought him before. I always preferred Fred over him.

I'm playing with Man City, first season and it's December 29th.

I paid £11.5M for Briand and what a bargain! Thanks to him, I'm 3rd in the league after 20 matches.

He scored 3 hat-tricks this season, and the last 2 matches, he's been immense.

He scored 5 goals against Tottenham who were 3rd, i a 5-2 win. He got a 10 rating.

Then I was to face fierce rivals Man Utd. After losing 3-0 against them in the 1st match of the season (mainly due to Isaksson out injured), I was looking to pick up points.

I was facing Man Utd at home and what a game. I went up 3 times, and they equalised 3 times (1-0, 1-1, 2-1, 2-2, 3-2, 3-3). Then I managed to score another 3 and won 6-3 Briand scored 4, and assisted Elano 2 times. He got his second 10 in a row. 9 goals, 2 asists in 2 matches - simply amazing.

His stats are now:
Played 21, scored 27, assisted 10, MoM 7, AR 7.76.

I really recommend you buy this guy if you can. People told me to buy him many times before but I never took them seriously.

If getting a 10 rating 2 matches in a row isn't that rare, I apologise for this post.

I forgot to add. Prior to the match against Man Utd, they were unbeaten.
They won 16, drew 3, and conceded 6 goals.

Yet thanks to Briand, we brought their unbeaten run to an end, scoring the same amount of goals that they conceded in 19 matches, in a single match.

do you play him as a lone striker or with someone because i thinking of buying him and i play a 4-2-3-1 and if you could post his instructions it would help alot.

I use "The Winning" tactic, 4-1-2-2-1
I use him as the lone striker.

Mentality - about 14 notches
CF - about 12 notches
PS - Direct
FWR - Often
RWB - Often
LS - Rarely
TB - Mixed
Cross Ball - Rarely

I set him as the target man with "run onto ball".

He just scored a hat-trick against Portsmouth (8th in league) in the 1st 6 minutes of the match LOL.
This is the 4th match this season where he scored a hat-trick in the 1st half, but no more in the 2nd.

This isn't a bug is it :s

I always buy Briand too, but in all honesty ANY player with pace and acceleration of 17+ will be immense in 08(kind of like the TM in 07 with good heading/jumping ability).

I guess you're right. Fast strikers always do well for me. I've never had any success with tall strikers such as Huntelaar.
