I picked them partially for the comical name, partly because they play in black and white and partly because they have a huge, mince squad and a tight stadium (2000 capacity).

Ringing endorsements, all.

Well, this team is perfect, just perfect.

A squad of 33 players most of whom are absolutely minging.

There are 2 decent players whom I have spotted. One has had 2 bids for him already and will leave probably for about half a mil. The other is a good striker and I expect him to put in a transfer request fairly soon.

Backroom staff are two decent scouts and a pants coach. I've brought in a couple or maybe even 3 coaches - clicked on "Danish" and "interested" and "unemployed" and snapped up all the matches [IMG]/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif" alt="smile[/IMG]

Scouts have been dispatched, one to find youth, the other to watch the next opposition. TBH, I'm not sure that it is worthwhile putting a scout on your opposition as you will be able to work out from examining their recent form etc. how they play and who the danger men are.

I've decided to plump for the default tactics for the beginning of the season. I've deleted all my previous tactical shennanigans. Shame. I've come up with one or two belters plus some seriously crap ones. [IMG]/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="big grin[/IMG]

Heh. This one will be a beauty.

3 friendlies. 2 wins, one defeat. We've got more AMC/FR's than you can shake a stick at. Last manager must have had a fettish for right wingers. [IMG]/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif" alt="eek[/IMG]

Next match is about a month away (why do Danish sides organise friendlies so early in pre-season?) so perhaps the scout will unearth a couple of stars.

The Nordjylland team really are quite poor. So far, my scouts have been almost useless. I'm annoyed every time some decent Danish player is signed by a rival club when my boys haven't even noticed him. There was one ex-manure player who looked a right good signing - snapped up by a rival club with our lot not even giving him a mention.

Methinks new scouts will be required soon.

Still, they did turn up a reasonable SC from Yugoslavia, plying his trade in Sweden. We'll see what he can do.

This is the tastiest challenge I've had in ages.

For the first time in I don't know how long my side didn't win promotion at the first time of asking. We went on a brilliant run of form when I tinkered a little with the default tactics and I also decided to burn some cash on some mediocre players in an effort to get us back up and challenging from 9th spot.

In the end, 5th place was the best we could manage, just a few points behind 4th spot, whom incidentally finished on the same total as third but with poorer GD.

Still, it has been great to taste defeat and as whetted my appetite for the coming season. One or two new players have come in, cherry picked from the teams relegated from the Second Division. We could still do with a DR as we only have one true full back and a couple of others who can fit in if absolutely necessary.
