Well installed the new patch and as it ain't compatible with previous saved games I have started a new career hopefully my last before CM4.
I decided to try a league I had not visited before so I loaded up two in the foreground France and Turkey with England, Greece, Croatia and of course Scotland in the background.
After checking out the french national league I didn't really see anything to take my fancy except Calais but I couldn't bring myself to replace there present 25 year old player manager .
So it was off to Turkey, I decide I wanted to take a team from the Turkish capital Ankarra purely because the majority of Turkey's footballing giants at present hail from Istanbul, I wanted to even things up.
I eventually opted for Division 2cB group 4 side "Ankarra Demispor"
They have inoffensive lightblue and Navy colours and share a 17500 thousand capicity stadium with rival club Sekerspor.
They had 28 players all earning millions each month ( turkish lira that is )
about the equivalent of £800 was the highest wage. The bank balance stood at £20k.
Anyway a quick brief on the Turkish league struture
Division 2 category B - This division consists of 50 teams battling for 3 promotion spots and to avoid 10 relegation spots. To start with it is divided up into 5 groups of 10 teams who play each other home and away, Once this section is finished the top two teams from each group go on too form a promotion playoff group where they play each other home and away to decide the 3 promotion Spots to 2cA. The other 40 teams divide into 5 groups of 8 to form "classification groups " they play each other home and away and the bottom two teams in each group are relegated . There is also a dividing line at the top of each classification group but I ain't sure what this signifies yet .
Division 2 category A - A straight forward 20 team league with 3 promotion and 3 relegation spots
Turkish Premier Division - 18 team league with 3 relegation spots.
At least I'm safe from relegation now
Now some observations about Turkish LLM
* At the start I went through my squad and transfer lisited 9 crap players, Usually when I do this the players end up spending the rest of there contracts in the reserves due to a lack of interest in them. In turkey every one of them was sold within a fortnight and several were involved in a bidding war.
* My team is only allowed to sign Turks I think this may be quite common for lower league turkish sides but a nice challenge.
* The players are very bolshie, At one point only three of my players didn't have "Unh" beside there name. My crime as I was responsible of course was to give a defender an official warning for a red card recieved for punching an opposition player. This heinous act on my part made around seven of them unhappy the others were displeased about my refusal of transfer offers, the clubs poor league position and not fulfilling our potential(1st in the group at the time).
I finally agreed to sell my my first choice keeper after getting a message
" Mustapha Butterfingers has requested a move
he wants to move to a bigger club, work for a different manager and is unhappy with your style of management"
* The boards are very fickle I only lost 4 times all quite narrowly but on three occasions I was warned that they were unhappy with the teams performance. At present there is 7 vacancies and 25 insecure managers on the job vacancies page for Turkey .
I think Turkey is going to be quite a rollercoaster ride and I just hope I can hold on. My squads down to 16 players at present as I was forced to sell some of the really unhappy players, a further seven have agreed bosmans out in the summer and only one player likes me, a 17 year old striker who usually makes up the numbers on the bench, well he thinks I'm "competent" anyway and I think I'll make him capitain

I think I am going to have to give Turkey a go one day, it sounds like a lot of fun .
At least if you ever get sacked, there are plenty of other teams ready to take you on .
Good luck.
except the clubs in the premier division, no clubs are allowed to play foreigners in turkey. if you signed a foreigner in the premiership and then relegated, you still can play them...
ankara demirspor is one of the teams of the railroad company of the turkish state. the other is adana demirspor. "demir" means iron in turkish
ankara demirspor -> london ironsport
and the rival sekerspor is the team of the sugar factory and "seker" means sugar
sekerspor -> sugarsport
there are really funny team names in TR
it's a hard way to premiership from 2CB in turkey but it is really enjoyable (both in cm and IRL) and when you finally permitted to sign foreigners it is like entering heaven... going to player search and clicking "any" instead of "tur" in the nationality tab... but it is really hard to find interested ones...
Ironsport at least it sounds tougher than Sugarsport.
I've still not played any off my promotion group games. I have however tried to strengthen my side but being the canny scot I am I didn't want to pay for any players I could have free in the summer.
So I've set up about 5 bosman deals for june and as for the present player shortage, well I've signed 7 Players on loan till the end of the season from neighbouring premier league side Ankaragucu .
I've also tried sending a scout to germany ( I can only tour in greece, and there aren't many greeks who would like to play in turkey even if i could sign them) The german scouting was effective and he came back with around 12 players of joint Turkish/german nationality playing in the german lower leagues. Some of them look quite good and it's just a matter of persuading myself to spend some money.
it sounds very nice to me; ppl playing in my country's league... i think there is no fault in sending scouts to central europe 'cos it is very common IRL to find Turks living abroad and bringing them to Turkey (they are the sons of ppl who go to work abroad and marry someone there) even in the 3rd division... yes there is another professional division even below the 2CB with 5 groups of 15 teams each...
Don't quite know if you're serious, Legal Beagle. Anyways, Bolshie (noun): Emotionally charged term used to refer to extreme radicals or revolutionaries.
Stems from Bolshevik, who as you know were the left wing majority in Russia who followed Lenin and eventually became the Communist Party.
...and if you did know that, it may help some other LLaMa
If you get players on loan make sure it is until the end of the season, make sure the contract expires after the last game of the season.
I was second up until the 15th game of the group then after that I had to construct a team out of Double sided sticky back plastic and some eggcups due to my 7 loan stars returning to there club
Oh and Telekomspor they are my nemisis . I've never beaten them and the board hates it when I lose to them as there local
