It's a really sad story containing birds, booze and Swedes, but that´s all I can reveal right now. I should be able to finishe the season on Friday and then I'll explain how things went the way they did.

I don't know how it ends yet, since I haven't really had time to play the game, but I want to know as bad as you do Pyro.

One thing though, if we do go out it will be with all guns blazing see ya in the morning

Well, it seems even the Døllefjelde-Musse board has some dignity. On the 13-4-2003 they decided to let me go, I have no idea why though. Just because we had yet to win the first game of the season, impatient buggers. Anyways the league table looks something like this.

<pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre"> ************************************************** ********************************************** Danish Second Division - Sunday 13th April 2003********************************************** ************************************************** ================================================== ============================================== 2002/3 Table============================================= ================================================== =Pos Team Pld Won Drn Lst For Ag Won Drn Lst For Ag Pts--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------1st Brønshøj 19 8 1 1 22 8 4 3 2 21 14 40 2nd Næstved 19 5 5 0 15 8 6 2 1 19 8 40 3rd Ølstykke FC 19 2 5 2 19 17 7 3 0 22 6 35 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------4th Farum 19 6 2 1 16 10 4 3 3 16 16 35 5th FC Nordjylland 19 4 2 3 16 15 6 2 2 22 13 34 6th Nørresundby 19 5 3 2 18 14 4 2 3 18 15 32 7th Holbæk 19 7 2 1 19 8 2 3 4 7 12 32 8th Birkerød 19 6 1 2 18 12 3 0 7 12 17 28 9th Holstebro 19 4 2 3 16 13 4 1 5 16 21 27 10th Næsby 19 5 1 4 16 13 2 1 6 16 17 23 11th Glostrup FK 19 5 0 5 17 15 1 4 4 12 17 22 12th Brande 19 5 2 3 16 11 1 2 6 11 19 22 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------13th HIK 19 4 1 4 18 17 2 1 7 8 18 20 14th FC Aarhus 19 3 3 4 13 14 1 3 5 10 17 18 15th Slagelse 19 3 1 5 9 13 0 2 8 10 27 12 16th Døllefjelde-Musse IF 19 0 2 7 10 37 0 1 9 5 21 3 </pre>

Now, I'm off to get advice from LFCFan, nobody knows better than him to put on that kind of resume

Well, after being sacked from Døllefjelde-Musse I surprisingly got the job at Næstved a pretty good team by 2nd Division standards. As usual though I needed time to get acquainted to the squad which meant they didn't get the success they were hoping for, which brings me to my point...

I HATE THE DANISH LEAGUE

The problem is that if you end the first half of the season below the boards expectations, they have 3 months to realize that they want to get rid of you. So once again I was sacked after winning the first game of the spring-season . The same thing happend at Svendborg .

However, I managed to land the job at Skive a month or so later. Skive is a first division club, who at the time had already secured relegation to the 2nd division. So I'll have all summer to get acquainted to the team. Good news, from an LLM perspective, is the £800.000 dept, so the signing of reinforcements will come only from freebies

Certain leagues are LLM graveyards. Denmark is one for sure.

hehe... I think LFCfan made the call quite early... this could be a Dave Cusack Trophy winning effort and he's not even going that bad!!

You just need a board that understands your management style donald

Another Denmark game on the go?

I think the Danish League is becoming something of an LLM favourite and rightly so. Good fun, lots of opportunities for hopeless managers

Actually I've done plenty of Danish LLM games, all with the same result. The 3 promotion spots in the 2nd division makes it seem deceptively easy, but the winter-break and the 4 relegation spots are a trap I can't seem to evade.

I have made an observation during this game. I if you finish the first half of the season in a poor position you're in serious trouble, cause the game seems to look at the break as if it wasn't there. That basically means that the board gets frustrated by the lack of improvemnt during the 3 month winter break. Point being that you may soon find your name on the job information list, and shortly thereafter you'll be very insecure about your future employment. It may actually be a bug in the game, I don't know for sure though, but I'll probably figure it out.

I must have missed that particular flaw with Nordyjlland, having amassed enough points for a mighty ninth spot before the break

I don't know if that'd really be a bug. Look at it from the persepctive of a real board. They have to stare at their side in danger of relegation for 3 months. No doubt all along hearing rants from irate fans about how their team is underperforming.

I can see how that would entice boards to be a little quicker on the draw.

Anyway, KUTG(?)W

Looking good

You don't really need advice from me about applying for jobs - you seem to be doing well yourself
