I'd go out on a limb and say yes, Rek. Everyone who's played the game knows about the abundance of over-talented players there, so it has to go down as previous knowledge.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say Leigh RMI have never had a Swede or Portuguese in the squad.

Agreed. I avoid scouting those two countries more than I would otherwise, and they always come last in any country rotation. Mind you, I'm currently playing Malaga in 2023 (hardly LLM quality) and I've only found two players from Sweden and none from Portugal and Sweden in the past four years. Loads of Brazilians though - 15 at a rough estimate - which is due to my thorough knowledge of the players there because I managed in Brazil for all but two years before joining Malaga.

I'm not sure if the regens from these countries generally are not as good, but the scouts in Sweden keep finding the one Brazilian/Swede that I've been trying to sign for more than a decade, and that's about it. Portugal is pretty much a black hole - I have signed a Brazilian/Portugese that was playing in Brazil and an Brazilian playing in Portugal who was a youth product and young star of my former club before moving to Europe a couple years before me.

Similarly, I've heard about a few English clubs that often have good players, so I avoid looking at those clubs.

Well Toulouse has 2 Swedes. But they were both top flighters. No Portuguese.

Auxerre had one of the 2 Swedes, but he's gone due to going AWOL. (I've had at LEAST 10 players go AWOL on me this game.) And no Portuguese. I scout both once a season. Plus one regional search that would include both as well.

I usually scout Scandinavia if i'm playing in Britain, simply because there are so many of tehm over here already.

Any LLMer's have a view on the legitimacy of this?

Well, everyone says the Swedes are overrated. But then I've read the Portuguese, Africans, and Greeks are overrated too. In the end, I say go on normal sweeps through with a scout once a season of each. What he finds is what he finds. It's not my fault if the researcher overrated a player.
