Usually if I appeal it's because I'm issuing a protest of the ref's incompetance as well.

What's really funny is once I got a ban overturned, but the appeal was denied. "We back the referee's decisions." No you don't, you just agreed with me he was wrong, morons! Gotta love it that they hire from the shallow end of the gene pool at the FA.

I appeal every one, whether it "looks a harsh decision" or "he lands a right hook on the left back".

It's a matter of Family Honour. It's a Ferguson's duty to complain about every Referee and Card.

I appeal every suspension, and I even once (apparently) attacked a referee conspiracy against my team.

I have 95% success rate appealing bans in England as well (either reducing the number of matches banned, or completely removing it).

In other leagues around the world though, it is only around 10%.
