My 20 yr old SC was banging in the goals in the reserves, but was too young for 1st team football (according to the "experts" . What the hell, i thought, as i'd been tempted to play him for 18 months. He averages over 7 and a goal every other game (and there's now no mention that he's too young, by the way!).
The only coach I might listen to is the rare one who isn't a sheep like the others and speaks his mind. Three will give shining reports, while this black sheep cans the player for being lazy etc.

I had a corker recently...
I started scouting the opposition, and when he returned with one of the clubs, he made a comment about how they are a good side, despite their lowly league position.
The opposition were top of the league at the time.

In the LLM online game, I had my coach scout next opposition, in this case Bell's Southend side. He came back and advised that Bell's centre forward was one to watch, who would pounce on any chances that fell his way. The guy scored 1 goal all season

Never trusted coach reports. I think I was put off when I saw one on my 34 yr old DRC: 'His best years are still ahead of him'.

There was an article featuring this player only yesterday...he's playing for Farnborough against the Arse. Looks like my coach was right, although he is actually only 26 IRL.
