What about the Brazilian Cup and the Brazilian Champions Cup?
What rounds did you reach in these competitions?

The Brazilian leagues are easy to understand. You play the State leagues during the first half of the year and the national league during the second half of the year. Each stats has its own football federation that it's filiated to the Brazilian FA (CBF). The state leagues are not part of the National league structure and vice-versa.

It's like if in the UK there were the Leagues of Wales, N.Ireland, Scotland and England in the first half of the season and the British league (including English, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish teams) in the second half of the season.

Just wait, and hope you get randomly promoted. CM doesn't really simulate the lower divisions of the state leagues. You just get promoted at random. There is a theory that good efforts in ND3 will help to get you promoted more quickly. Never seen proof positive of this because I started with a club that was already in their state league.

Oh.. and KUTGW Muss

It's an interesting leap into ND1 because there are still strong teams in ND2. The top half-dozen teams will be hard to crack but it can be done

Bloody hard though if you make progress in both cups because the final rounds are held at the same time. It's nearly killed my players a few times
