I was wondering, how accurate now is Project X since the new year and the new patch for cm01/02?
And the reason I ask is that I would like to start a new game (LLM) and would like to know what clubs in 2003 pose the greatest challenge, I remember that on the old Project X , Hereford aparently was the hardest club to start with.
Project X was primarly done so we wouldn't get the continuous requests for "What is the worst team/Which team has the most debt" type threads cluttering the board. it's hasn't been "updated" as its main purpose was there as a guide for people who just couldn't make thier mind up. I don't think anyone of us could be arsed to check to see if the new patch changed anything, especially with CM4 being so near.
As far as I know the new patch just gives you a data update on transfers and fixes a couple of errors (and creates a few more ) in the game. Finances of the club should not change. Saying that, the finances of clubs can be a bit random anyhow but what you see at Hereford in Project X should be close to the mark when you load up a new game.
Finances of clubs are a bit crock anyhow, as the customary bailout happens sooner or later anyhow.

A "hard" challenge is a debatable thing. I don't think finanaces come into the picture due to the "bailout" scenario mentioned above.
Any LL side is a challenge if you play by the LLM guidelines and use SWYCT. It's when you buy known players, use the find screens & download those nasty super tactics that the LL challenge gets watered down to the extent where managering any LL club becomes a walk in the park.
I always go by the name of the club first and formost. It just has to have a nice ring to it. The colours is next as I don't want to play ten seasons with commentary lines which is near on impossible to read. The number of players comes next. The more the merrior, as I feel it is more of a challenge with a sack full of crap players than a blank team sheet Finanaces & size of stadia come dead last in my selection of a club. A good bank balance or a poor balance makes no difference after four months in the job.
Again thanks Taipan, good points you brought up, I believe Canberra Cosmos is a challenge
Another question dude, are you going to buy CM4 over the net or wait until it gets released in the computer shops, I only ask as I bought CM01/02 on release over the net and then saw it in the shops weeks later $20.00 cheaper
I like everyone I suspect will buy it on day one just to have it sooner rather than later, did you see the Brisbane Strikers are having a good run, and in similar conversation I cannot see us beating England when we play them at Upton Park

Oh and I forgot to ask , what does " SWYCT " stand for ?
If you go to your fixture list, click on arrange, and then on arrange tour, you will get a list of countries you can tour in. This is then the restriction on where you can scout
When you are in your Fixtures screen, there will be an option to go on a Tour. Whatever countries you can tour (they will appear) is where you can scout.
