Try this. Start a single player game in the Conference and try and get a loan player from Div 1 or the PL. It just will not happen, and so yes you are cheating in accord with the LLM principles.

No, you see this is where the Ethics of LLM can be greyed over to such an extent that they no longer apply.

There's NO facility in CM for "developing a relationship" with another Club, so in effect it's going completely against the grain. Like the "you can get freed players names on the internet IRL, so it's ok to use the Find function".

Like Taipan stated "If you have to ask...then you very probably are"

The next thing you'll be saying is it's ok to take over another team in order to milk their players and get rid of your losers.

LLM's not about looking for loopholes, it's about playing the game as realistically as the Game allows.

With items LLM, the slippery slope argument holds good, unfortunately. It's the old player naming, tactics discussion position all over again. When the LLM Ethics aren't made clear right away, the floodgates open and we all know what happens.

It may appear a tad patronizing, but when new guys, and some of the "regulars", see such points being raised they do tend to believe that such things are ok in LLM.

Regulars, like ourselves Essexfella, hold a sometimes unwanted influence over new guys and I feel we have a responsibility to ensure the LLM Spirit isn't sullied.

The LLM/Online Game question is indeed a difficult one. As things stand one has to trust the other players in the game as there's no way to ensure there's no third party aids being employed.

I suppose the main thing would be to make sure the players in the game are all true LLaMas. I believe there's been a little unusual movement in the current LLM Clan game, but you'd have to ask the guys playing that as it's only heresay.

More to the point, do you have MSN or ICQ yet?

Still don't like it, Mat. As with many other situations in LLM, it's the potential for wrongdoings that makes it wrong, for want of a better word.

No-one is questioning your honesty Mat, but there are so many others who would cheat doing the same thing. So really its not an LLM sort of thing.

But of course you paid for the game so you can do what you like with it. But some people in this forum might not want to hear about the "grey" areas.

Other teams don't have these opportunities, so it would seem an unfair advantage to arrange this sort of thing with a top team run by a human manager.
