I was wondering at the games start do we get enough time to orginise a tour and if so how successful is this in helping you prior to seasons start?

I never tour. I do play at least 5 friendlies every preseason to get my players ready for the season. But I start them a month ahead of time and then play them 5-7 days apart--and all at home. Why give the money to anyone else when I can keep it myself.

I sometimes tour, but prefer individual friendlies. I like home games when I'm starting out and usually skint. I like away games later on for some variety when I don't need the cash.

If playing in South America I recommend touring Peru to play Sport Boys and Deportivo Wanka

I would rather play away friendlies, basically because with my small clubs I would lose money on the match after ground maintainance is subtracted. And my teams need every red cent (sorry, I'm talking dollars!) they can get, especially if I happen to manage promotion.

You only pay the ground maitenance once a month. 5 friendlies will make more than it.
