I'm managing in Italy and am new to this winter break thing. Am I supposed to remove my players from training or will they automatically miss training? And does the same thing apply for youth players?

I manage in Switzerland and I'm pretty sure the winter break there is longer than the one in Italy. I leave my players on their normal training schedules and schedule a few friendlies before the pick-up second half of the season to keep their fitness up.


I'm not sure if this is realistic or not, as the Swiss winter break is longer than the summer break, but the players are only sent on holiday for the summer.
