Having played the demo, I would say CM has the frameworks of a decent game, but the implementation is woeful. It's good to see that BGS are trying to do something different with the match engine, but it's just not very good. The ball doesn't seem to move right and getting well over a hundred throw in's during the match is laughable. Many on the CM forum proclaim the match engine the most realistic ever. How they can claim this I don't know. Even my sister would be able to tell that it' by far the worst engine available, and she know's bugger all about football.
Also, ProZone seems completley pointless. Personally, I feel that it does no more then the match report feture in FM. And some of the reports that are produced are completley inaccurate. A much more detailed, and accurate feature like this is much needed in FM though, and would be a welcome addition for FM09.
Truth is that CM is still miles behing FM, and I can't see this changing for a while. I'm not saying FM isn't without it's problems, only the most blinkered person would believe this,
IMO, in comparison to CM, they seem pretty insignificant. CM still has an awful lot to do.
