Yeah, i had a good laugh with that one as well
Football the game hasn't changed, so FM doesn't need to?
Whilst FM is a solid game as it is, there are many things that can be vastly improved on it, the media interaction for one.
It's fine if you enjoy playing FM, i do as well, but other people have the right to criticize the game if they choose.
| You actually repeated what I said, there are no mind boggling changes in football itself but there is plenty of scope to improve what's already there, interaction being one of the biggest.
I personally agree with several others in this thread. i.e. I'd like SI to spend all their time working on things like interaction, transfer market and many others which are still either limited or not entirely realistic.
So FM09 would look exactly like FM08, but can you imagine the howls of protest from those who complain of no wow factor?
It's a must in the games market that a new edition must have new things in it, and yet FM is probably one of the few that wouldn't suffer from a year of only working on what already exists.
I know it's simplistic to say "name 5 things that have changed" but that was just to emphasise what I mean.

TBH I bought both FM08 and CM08 and whilst FM08 is still the better product CM08 has improved more from CM07 than FM08 has over FM07.
There are bugs in both and CM08 still lacks depth but they are getting closer..........

You know you can always put the CD back in it's cover and place it next to other games you don't play thinking that you are just a games collector ; and don't buy any SI products for the next 2 years.

Seriously, though, I think you'd be surprised at how many people would prefer quality over quantity now. As far as I'm concerned FM has enough features, it's just most are either a) poorly implemented or b) have no depth whatsoever.
Have a look around the forums and you'll realise most complaints are about existing features and not what's been added. Obviously there will be the annual moaners, it's human nature, but at least SI will have a sound and tested product to offer the customers that are happy to buy the product.

I bought CM 08 and so far I have mixed opinions on it. ProZone is a nice tool but doesnt really help me with anything. The 3D match engine is decent BUT it is still lacking in depth. I keep witnessing the same crosses with the same trajectory going in to the same positions whenever there is a cross. FM is way better off sticking with he 2D match engine and just enhancing its features. The new add-ons this year are more noticable on CM than FM. The ProZone is a lot better this time then last year. Media has been enhanced more than a tad bit. However, FM 08 is just a duplicate of 07 for me. Dont get me wrong though, FM is still better than CM although they are covering valuable ground on SI which is good for us customers. |

| The fact that the CM match is displayed in 3D has nothing to do with what's going on underneath the hood. SI switching to a similar 3D viewpoint wouldn't change a single thing.
