Unfortunately you're correct. The best thing that could happen would be if FM/SI had some serious competition from else where.
Maybe then we'd have more than 5 shallow features to look forward to per release. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Name 5 things that changed in real life football in the last year. </BLOCKQUOTE>
I find this argument amusing too. So a simulation game should only change if the real life counter part changes? Earth is a dangerous place mate, mind going back to live on Mars?
Let's try apply this terminology to historical simulation games: History never changes, thusa historical simulation series should have exactly the same game in every release. Makes sense doesn't it? Historical simulation series such as 'Romance of Three Kindoms' based on the Chinese history have 11 games in their series so far, each game is vastly better and introduces more than 15 notable new features in every release. </BLOCKQUOTE>
i haven't played the game you state but i'm sure some of the improvements are graphical? perhaps sound? path finding?
there's not going to be much obvious graphic improvements on FM but the match simulation is improved, along with other bits and pieces that add up to make a better game
i always find that its the same with alot of things. not just FM. that is that if you look at the consecutive changes it doesn't seem like much.
eg. fm05 is basically the same as fm06 which is no differnt to fm07 which is hardly any different to fm08
but then you look at the differences between fm05 and fm08 and you can see just how far the game has gone.
