Ladies n gents,

Does anyone else find it bothering that basically all the non-minor clubs in the game throw around money like it was dirt?
I find the transfer market part of FM08 completely unrealistic and laughable.

Example: In the january transferwindow of '08 Fiorentina somehow decide to sell
- Montolivo
- Pazzini
- Gamberini
- Santana
AND Mutu

...the five bringing in some €100M.

First of all, why the HELL would they sell off
ALL of their keyplayers???? (they were leading the Serie A at the time btw)

...then they proceed to buy players for
...roughly €175M!!! 7 players to be precise.
SIX of which were central midfielders.

Now were did Fiorentina get those €75M from?

In the same window Inter sells Maicon to Barca for... ... €10M. WHY would they do that!?!
COMPLETELY UNREALISTIC!!!

So, the question is, is there some way I can limit the clubs spending by tampering around with the editor? (I had already limited the transfer budgets of the 50 biggest teams to €5M each in the example above)
I really hope there's a way around this because it takes away so much of the joy of the game.

Agree with you on that subject, teams go after players on such a frequent occasions and offering ridicules amounts for players.

But I think it’s a problem SI are aware of, there is no way around it at the moment, hopefully the patch will fix this..

while they're at it, it would be good to look over some other things.

How many spanish or german players are there currently in the serie a? <1

How many british or italian players are there currently in la liga? <5

can SI PLEASE take this into CONSIDERATION!

It is SOOOO frustrating that during the first transfer window napoli, for example, buys 3(!!) spanish players, deportivo buys a bunch of brits , lazio buys gareth barry etc etc etc. the list could go on forever.

This is COMPLETELY UNREALISTIC. i can't even begin to comprehend why this hasn't been adressed. extremely disappointing.

if this is of any condolence, i have this second just had a bit accepted by PHW of 56.5m(40m over 24 months, 1.m after 30 apps, 30% sell on and 2.3m up front) for Djourou. My previous player sold was Eboue who went to juve for 23.5m.

It seems you can ask a stupid amount for a player if you reduce the inital fee and whack up the fee on monthly payments.

This does ruin the game indefinatly and will be restarting when the official patch comes out. This has ruind my game unfortunatly.
