Default Wage negotiations are a bit silly

I tries to sign Branislav Ivanovic. He asked for £14.5K pw, I offered £20K because I knew Villa were in for him too.

He signed for Villa so I looked to see how much they paid him....£64,000 per week!!

For someone that only wanted £14.5K they would appear to have went a little overboard.

At least he didn't sign for them for £3k p/w - i've had loads of cases of players going into a lower league for less money, and it's just left me so bloody frustrated.

Something does need to be done about contracts.

they obviuosly wnated him

i think portsmouth have too much money or at the very least dont mind spending it.
all the saves i've played they buy up all the young english talent for loads of money.

bale? 22mill pounds thank you.
walcott? that'll be 18mill pounds. no problem.
ryan taylor 8mill
onuha 16 mill.
a young man utd keeper 19mill

all in less than 1 and a half season.

I agree. Arsenal released Pedro (I think) who would have made a class left back for my team. I offer him a few grand more than what he asks for and he signs for a lesser team for less money.

If it was a favourite club, fair enough.

Grr

I think existing competition for places and team role has an effect, for example if you offer a contract to Pedro and have him on 5k p/w as a hot prospect, with 3 existing left backs who are all as good or better than him and another team in a lower division come in and offer him 3k p/w as a key player, with him being clearly the best left back in the team, a non-greedy player is likely to go for the lesser team with the prospect of being a regular and maybe a hero?

I know this has affected previous versions.
