Default Best way to get a new job?

Usually stay with one team all the time, this time I'm considering moving on to another team.

I've been mentioned in relation to a number of jobs (better jobs), but nothing has been offered.

Should I apply? Declare an interest? Resign?

Just been offered a new contract, should I turn it down? Delayed once already.

Any advice would be welcome.

Cheers

Be careful when declaring intrest in another job as the board and fans might get angry with you for showing a lack of loyalty. Atleast that is what i have found out in previous versions of the game.

I usually resign if i want another job then declare intrest in job and if you have won a lot you should feel confident on getting the job.

As always if you want to leave let your contract run out and then get another job do it that way and leave on good terms. Hope this helped.

Do be careful when going for this!

As Leeds manager who took them to CCC and finished in playoffs first season with respectable cup runs, I thought I'd save my game and see how easy it was to get other jobs.

I applied for a few lower premiership teams and a french ligue 1 team simultaneously. Next day in my news it came up with the message that the board were seriously unhappy I'd aplied for such-and-such a job and gave me an ultimatum not to do it again.

However, as I'd already applied for other jobs I got the sack.

As a free agent I, and having not got any jobs, I declared interest in some high flying CCC side jobs. Next day, a news item about my interest saying it 'smelled of desperation' as I had no chance and another saying their chairman laughed off the claims of me taking over.

All in all, don't do it unless you've got a pretty good reputation and even then it may have to be a step down unless you've won leagues and big cups etc
