i cant window the game on my laptop, it says my settings wont let me. can anyone help?

right click the desktop shortcut for FM

- goto properties.
- shortcut tab.
- in the target box add this to the end of the text after fm.exe." - "-small_screen -windowed" (don't include the "").

Should now run in windowed mode.

To get back to full screen tick the full screen option in ther preferences menu.

thanx for the reply but it was the name is invalid, this is how it looked "CProgram Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006 Gold Demo\fm.exe -small_screen -windowed" is this right?

Nope, should be:

"CProgram Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006 Gold Demo\fm.exe" -small_screen -windowed

Just paste that into the target box and it should work.
