I'm a fan of the default skin for FM2006, but I have one small problemo with it. As I play FM constantly, I've noticed that the "quicksearch" panel on the main interface screen is starting to cause a slight image burn on my monitor. I know other skins dont have this panel, but I like the default and was wondering if there is a way to remove this panel, or (probably just as effective) darken the colour of the box as I think it's just the "whiteness" of the box that's causing the problem.

I know nothing about skinning, but understand the basics of editing xml files etc. So can anyone help?

You can edit the graphics, they are in data/skins/metallic2006/graphics/navigation and are searchbox_left, searchbox_middle, searchbox_right

If you don't know how to do this then let me know and I'll send you some alternative ones that aren't white
