I've tried adding some more pictures to the aurora skin apart from the default background I've added the pics as it says to the directory:

'To add another background image to the game, add a 1024 x 768 pixel jpeg to the background folder this config.xml file is in. You then need to add an association record to the maps list below.'

In the config file as well...

'It says To associate the image with a TEAM, add the following type of record: <record from="imageFileName"to="graphics/pictures/team/UNIQUE_ID#/background"/>'

and I've added this:

<record from="firhill" to="graphics/backgrounds/partick thistle/1586/firhill"/>

but it still only displays the same default image, I've turned on Background Changes but does the pic need to be in the same directory as default.jpg or some other folder?

Any help would be appreciated.....

don't change the TEAM bit leave it as TEAM, it should read:

<record from="firhill" to="graphics/backgrounds/team/1586/firhill"/>

ok I now have:
<record from="firhill" to="graphics/backgrounds/team/1586/firhill"/>

but it still doesn't change the background picture it just stays as the default pic...

I have even tried changing the /backgrounds/ to /pictures/ as stated in the text within the config file for background pics but to no avail....

I have backgrounds enabled in my preferences and the pics are all 1024x768 .jpg's

anyone can help please feel free.....

Is there anybody out there who has successfully added their own backgrounds to this excellent skin?

If so can you tell us how you did it?

You need to make sure you follow the example given in Aurora's config file:

To associate the image with a TEAM, add the following type of record:
<record from="imageFileName" to="graphics/pictures/team/UNIQUE_ID#/background"/>

Your record is reading:
<record from="firhill" to="graphics/backgrounds/team/1586/firhill"/>

but should be:
<record from="firhill" to="graphics/pictures/team/1586/background"/>

All you need to do is copy the record from the example and change the 'imageFileName' and 'UNIQUE_ID#'.

(BTW, you probably should have asked this in the Aurora 2006 thread)

thanks for all your help....

I know this probs should have been in the Aurora Skin thread but I have just been using Aurora recently but it was basically just relating to backgrounds using any skins at all not just Aurora....

Anyways thanks once again for everyone's help
