I have recently started to explore editing sounds and commentary. I was wondering if I could get some advice off anyone who is clued up on this (I noticed furney89 seems to be pretty knowledgable). A few questions I have are:

1) what format do the sound files have to be in, I know it's .wav but what about bit rate etc.

2) do the file names have to follow a specific format

3) can you have more than one chant for each team/player

4) once I have edited the cfg file and put the sounds in the correct place do I need to edit the events to trigger it?

It would be a great help if anyone could answer any of these questions.

to answer your q's
1- all chants must be in wav format, if you have a mp3 chant or any other recognisable format it can be converte, go to http://www.download.com for audio conversion software and get a free trail or something..... bit rate doenst matter,
also its best if the chants fade in/ fade out at start of the chant and fade out at the end, sounds alot better

2- yeah they all must be .wav thats it

3. no you cant, however what im working on at the moment is editing to events file,linking loads of things up with it, and i will have seperate downloadable packs for your specific team ur playing as.....so it means you can have more than one chant
also ive made loads of new events such as goalkick, and corner kick ,and adding general match sounds and adding loads new events linked to the sounds,its really good.... if u want to beta test it go to here
