Looking good.

The error message that it shows when the database format is invalid, is wrong. It tells me that I need at leat 300mb of memory, when really it should tell me I'm loading a database format that it doesn't recognise.

I'd just like to say that this year (FM 2006), the community is much more active in terms of new utilities. The constant whining and moaning remains pretty much the same however.

FM 2006 has only been released for, what, a little more than a month? and there are:

APIs (real soon), real-time editors, cool command line editors, sexy skin selectors, pregame editors, and scouts (and even more in the pipeline)!

It's all really good stuff and means one of two things:

<LI> There are more programmers in the community who actually heeded our advice about shutting up and making their own damned utility after 50 posts about the release date for FM Scout went un-replied!
<LI> That Graeme has been busy making new false names to post utilities for FM that he's banging out at a rate of knots since he's missing 'the scene' after being 'relegated' to EHM. :p

Either way, it's all good and a lot of them are really high quality. An example would be yours Genie.

Now, when is the next release coming out?!

To get FM Genie to work under Windows 2000 SP4...

Go to %SystemRoot%\system32 . That means Windows-install folder -&gt; System32 and is a "shotcut". Just copy it and paste to Explorer or My Computer. If it does not work, locate your Windows-install folder ( For example CWINNT ) and go to System32-folder.

Locate file KERNEL32.DLL ( Or KERNEL32 ) and copy-paste ( Yep, COPY and PASTE. "Make a backup" ) it to folder where you "installed" FM Genie.

IF filename on FM Genie Install Folder reads as KERNEL32.DLL, skip next, otherwise check it.

On FM Genie Install Folder you must go to Tools, Folder Options, Show ( Or "second sheet from left" ) and uncheck option "hide known file type extensions" or similar. Now you should see filename as KERNEL32.DLL.

Now, rename this file to KERNEL32 ( I mean KERNEL32 WITHOUT .dll -extension ).

FM Genie should work now ( Works for me ).

( Too bad I do not have English W2000-version installed on this computer so I took "Folder Options"-names and suck from memory, Anyway you should be able to locate those )

( Needless to say that I'm not responsible if you screw up something )

The thing I need is ability to copy player ID to clipboard. It would reaaly help people who are making facepacks. If you can not make a button which does that, make player Id at least selectable to be Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V in fmXML
