Well I was just thinking that when your in a match and you've got a nice lead that you want to keep and you want to change your tactic around so its more defensive to keep the lead. So I was thinking that why dont I make a program that you start up before you start the game and that you can edit certain options so it will change the options for you so you dont have to click edit tactic and wait for a bit to change it. Hope you like my idea, comments welcome.
Or alternatively, we could create our own defensive tactic to hold onto a lead. Personally I never go defensive, because that's the best way of losing the game, even after going up by three goals.
well you don't have to go defensive, You can choose a tactic layout for it and set the intructions and then set the time or how many goals ahead you are and then press a button and then it will switch to the tactic you have set up.
It's going to be a hard thing to do, but good luck if you think you can hack it. Ideally I'd just create a few different tactics to be able to rely on under different circumstances and switch between them through either the details or quick tactics buttons ingame.
Although a nice idea, I think that even if someone create such a program, it would take some time to load the tactics in as the game will need to compensate for the change.
while idea is quite good, it's rather impossible to do it with current game design. FM would need plugin interface to do such things.
The best what you can is made defensive version of tactic and load it.
Hovewer changing tactics is risky, because players need "gel to tactic" and SI has never said how this geling works (for example, if you change tactic for one match only, do players forget the first tactic?)
I think that SI and many game developers doesn't want to make their program to work with plugins.
What SI did is publishing of database structure and format of skins. There is nothing interesting for serious programmer - we can't code anything helpful during the game.
There are many areas in game which could be automated (for example auto assinging players to own training regimes by position).
