Default Quick question about editors such as FMM and MCFM

As i was looking thru and noticing the usual "6.0.2 IS OUT, WHENS THE NEW EDITOR COMING!!!!" , i wondered to myself why a change has to occur to the editor. Obviously, the update affects the .exe file, and the editor uses the exe, but I dont see why a change in lets say AI aggressiveness would make the editor malfunction?

because with these patches SI changes the game db - usually adding stats or details that they or may not use in the current game. As such, parts of the editors' code (whether it is save game or real-time) needs to be altered to incorporate the new data

What he said. With a little less detail! :p

In this patch for instance, it seems that 6.0.2 alters how players and clubs are read in the game memory.
