I use to play in French L1 too, but with Toulouse as I live there :-))

I can say that Lyon is the best team fo this champ and that you have the best players in your team as you have much money too!!

I won L1 several times with my tactic:

If you want to see/test it, no problem but I think you have THE french team to win every L1 trophy and I hope you'll get every success with your team!! :thup:

You can be succesful with a 4-4-2 at Lyon. i used an attack minded 4-4-2 with juninho the left sided central midfielder with an angled farrow. He absolutley took the season by storm, 20+ goals and general godliness.
Also use Carew and Fred as your forward line. Fred on the left with run with ball and forward runs on often , everything else mixed, and Carew with through balls often and everything else mixed. Awesome front two and Carew was a legend.
Short passing and slow tempo if yore using a training regime with Heavy settings, and quick and direct for training schemes using lighter schedules.

I played briefly as Lyon, but just wasn't feeling it. I went 4-3-3 with the wingers running darrows (I always prefer at least darrow on the wing to farrawos when using one striker). The DMC should be fairly defensive, but may make forward runs, or ruin with ball if he is good enough. I often push the two MC on farrows in this formation.
Lyon has the financial muscle to build whatever type of squad you want.
Lyon doesn't have the right player at DMC for my vision of the 4-3-3. Diarra and Toulalan can do the job, but I think this is an area to upgrade. Vincent Kompany is my prototpe, but it is going to be hard to get him in season one, and season two the big clubs will be after him. Bodmer, Gago, Makoun, Sivok, are all good players...
In season two you should be able to get Gourcuff from Milan for a reasonable fee. GRAB HIM!
