Hi, I have a question. Is it possible to make a tactic with a sweeper, but you could play a DC who is not a sweeper in that position? If so what type of stats would be best?
Also would it work if you had 3 DC's in front of the sweeper the the DCL and DCR with arrows out to DL and DR, sort of like this:
<----DC..DC..DC---->
.........SW.........
The reason I ask, is because I would like to make a good defence with this look but possibly play DL and a DR/WBR player on the DC left and right positions (sorry if im making it sound more complicated than it is)
So could you successfully play a DL or DR in the centre back position with arrows out to full backs?
The formation im sort of going for should look like:
One final thing, has anyone ever tried the sweeper system and had success with it, possibly in a league that doens't normally use this type of formation like Scotland or England?
Sweeper systems don't really work I often find the opposition just score ludicrous banana shots in the 89th minute or one of their strikers (not known for dribbling!) runs through 8 defenders to score or something
