It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

You what?

You told me training was exactly the same as FM2006 6 weeks ago.

Read your question, you asked about something else.

Quote:
I assume the training areas refer to the same attributes as before & I'm trying to assign 1 good coach for each area as before (which is difficult as my board dont think I should have more than 8 coaches in total) but it's not having much effect.
This part of the game is still the same, like I said

The question in this thread is more about stats and them not rising. And this as changed, once a player reaches full potential etc he no longer can get better stats. </BLOCKQUOTE>

Yeah right! </BLOCKQUOTE>

You both asked 2 totally different questions ffs. Stop trying to make out its a big deal, read the question you asked and the 1 in this thread, and any numpty can see they are different.

Not arguing with you anyways, cba with people of this forum anymore. Most want help yet throw it back at you. In future I shall play my own game and keep my little theories to myself and watch the majority of forum users struggle then, if this is how people are gonna react. Not worth me giving advice anymore

Calm down Cleon, i no what your saying but the people who dont appreciate your input arn't worth bothering about. theres always the odd few that sopil things for the reast.

Ive found all your input extremely usefull and it has helped me no end in creating tactics and understanding them and as a result i enjoy the game even more (and im keeping more clean sheets ). and im sure its the same for the majority of people on here who want to learn more about the tactical side of the game.

Toys out the pram then eh mate?

Face it, you were found out.

I've been on these boards for years, some have great input, some are timewasters and others are just muppets.

What I cant understand about FM07 is how results can fluctuate so greatly, Tactics are all well and good but the standard of players should be more of a bearing than whether of not I have increased my temp bar by 1...

Dont even get me started on training, I've never known a football club in the world where at least 3 or 4 players are injured in training every week.

This game is getting less and less enjoyable as the years go on.. and i've been here since the start many many moons ago.

I'm not trying to catch anybody out, I'm just genuinely confused by these replies.

The title of this thread is "Does anyone else think the "training feature" is actually making any diffrernce to ingame player stats ?"

My thread was entitled "How's everybody doing with training in FM2007?"

Now, I may well be a numpty but the poster of this thread is having the same problems as me ie. our training is not working like it was in FM2006.

Cleons only input in my thread was "Training is exactly the same as on FM06"

So the trick is don't train the players too well on attributes they don't need so they go down a tad, whilst at the same time train them on the more important attributes so they increase.

In otherwords to increase important attributes you must decrease unimportant attributes.
Wasn't this the case with FM2006 too?

How can a player become better than his potential?

I'm not sure this is the biggest problem tbh as not that many players even reach their potential in my experience.

I'm undecided about the whole training issue.

I've got set training schedules for each position and secondary training shcedules for "boosting" during the season - for example, all of my wingbacks are pretty good free-kick takers so every 2nd month of the season I'll take them out of "Wingback" training and put them into "Set Piece" training which strong emphasizes the skills to improve shooting/set pieces/attacking.

I've also got seperate schedules for "Ball Control" which obviously is used to boost control of the ball and "Mentality" which can boost concentration/composure (not 100% sure this one works but I've been told high defence training improves these mental attribs.)

I've also got pre-season routines - I've got light routines slowly working up to heavy and I put the players through these schedules and change them to a heavier schedule than the previous one on a 3weekly basis. It seems to stop those injuries which have often plagued the start of the season for me.

I've done this because my players stats kept decreasing when kept on one training routine and switching them around seems to keep things at a happy medium.

This seems to tally with what Steph McMahon's Secret Lover said......
