Lack of Accuracy

I've tried every single tactic I can imagine, not only with FM 07 but also with other versions of CM, and it appears that no matter what tactic I choose, my team always plays the same way, and my players always provide me with good performances, but when it comes to scoring goals, none of them can. I have bought almost every player people recommend and no single striker seems to want to score.
Could anybody tell me to what do I owe this magnificent lack of accuracy?

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.
