Looking through the forum I have found that several useful post about 4-3-3 have been made.
Now, i'll give it a shot!
it is also obvious that finding a rock solid tactics formation can be very difficult. I have worked on a 4-3-3 tactics inspired by real life Barca with emphasis on possesion and attacking football.
First of all I based my mentality sliders for the players on the RoT which to some extend works great.
I found that the overall mentality of the team should be the same as my FC's attacking mentality. i.e that if he's at 18 then my overall team mentality should be set to 18.
Right then...I also noticed that most sliders range between 1-20 (obviously) but for some reason the attacking mentality slider range between more 1-23, I think...why's that?
The basic formation is:
GK
DR DC DC DL
MC MC MC
FR FC FL
team mentality is set to 18 (as well as the individual mentality of my FC)
Passing is set to short and tempo is slow. All other settings is set to default. Sometimes I push timewasting up or down depending on the result.
I play down both flanks and have targetman supply setting on "run onto ball". For some reasons this works great even though I haven't set a specific player as targetman. The ball will be played randomly to any of my three forwards leaving opposing fullbacks chasing down the line. Obviously it's a big advantage to have the FR and the FL to be pacy dribblers with good crossing skills.
hi mate, i am using a similar tactic with mixed passing and normal tempo, although i am looking to tweak it a bit meaning i may give your method a try.
