I thought it would be cool to start a thread of weird and cool AI tactics, I just played chelsea and won 1-0 with them changing tactics to this after 79min in, i might try it if i'm losing to see what happens.

yes i see it all the time. all jose uses is 4132 with 1 DMC, 3 MCs, and if they are losing or need a goal then they switch to 4122 with 2 MC, AML AMR, 1 DMC. And when it's 10 minutes left if their drawing or losing they will undoubtedly switch to the 235 u have there.

I never thought to look into the ai tactics, think i'm going to start to now.

i found it is a very clever idea to look at past matches of your next opponents to see what formations they use in certain situations so then you can create your own tactics to counter their changes... works well :thup:

I think people who complained that AI always make a come back are the ones who either did not counteract AI's change of strategy.

They are available to human players. All the AI's formations are located in Program Files/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2007/Data/tactics.

Not in the preset_tactics folder, those are the standard tactics.

ahh yeh i just seen 2-3-5 there, i might give it a go if i'm losing and see no way out, but all is going well to mess about to much, maybe i'll wait for an easy cup game, be interesting.
