anyone else have this problem? kaka will take shots from far away. last couple of games his shots and shots on target are 6-1, 8-4, 9-6,8-4, 6-2 with only 1 goal. I wouldn't care if he scored, but he doesn't do that either. most of his shots are from far away.I've tried decreasing mentality, creative freedom, forward runs, run with ball...increased through balls, cross balls. really don't know what else to do..brake his leg maybe.. when i substituted brocchi he does better. any help would be appreciated. thank you

I have the same problem with van der vaart, have tried evertyhing ans still shoots everytime he picks up the ball, I think its cos he has likes to try long shots on his preffered moves.

Yes its a match engine bug. Players with " shoots from distance" do its way to often. Also high creative freedom = to meny ambitious longshots .

These players have something like "shoot from distanse" in PPM. But... they do it mainly when they don't have better option to develop an attack. And since they are quite good at decisioning, it must be that they really don't have such option. So, try to look at player(s)' settings in front of Kaka and near him. Maybe they are not good enough "Off the ball", so Kaka does not consider their position better than his. Maybe you play too fast, so Kaka prefers shoot quickly instead of passing ball around.

Joor, can you point me to thread where SI aknowledge it as a bug? I cannot find it. I agree, it seems ridiculuous, but...

Slow tempo or fast doesnt matter, that screenshot is from a game where i play on 5 tempo all 90 min.

Also from patch notes;
- Players with long shots set to often, or with long shots PPM, now more willing to do so in good positions subject to morale

Thanks a lot.

I did not look at the screenshot at all as I started writing response before yours appeared. Thing is I am Crystal Palace now and my AMCs don't have high creative freedoom (they are not good enough) or that PPM. However they tend to shoot from distanse more when I increase tempo and / or team menatlity, and it's understandable yet quite annoying.

Great that SI is working on the problem :thup:

What I have done now is edit kaka and seedorf with FMM 2.2 so they no longer have that PPM. This is just until the new patch is out - it makes a huge difference
