In the longterm from your experience, or in your opinion, would it be better to loan him to Yeovil (in League 1) for 1s team experience, or train him myself but he wil only be in the reserves

In earlier versions of FM, the players developed more if you played them. However since FM05 (or maybe even before this), SI were advised that the development of players happens more with training than playing.
So, if you have good coaches and a good training schedule, keep them at your own club and train them. Put them out on loan though if you want to develop their reputation - and hence value.
What you can do is have them go on loan for the first half of the season and then train them the second half to get the best of both worlds. And it's important to do it this way around because:
- If you do this, they'll be at your club when you win things and it helps them to like you and the club better
- If you don't and they are at another club during the "business" end of the season, they may decide they like it there better - especially if Yeovil win something such as promotion.
Hope this helps.
