Hi my name is Craig from Australia. I am new to Football Manager 2007. Actually i am a new convert to football in general. This EPL new season is the first time that i have shown an interest in football. i have finished one whole season as Walsall in league two. From what i can gather is that Walsall were relegated the previous year. So therefore i should have had a contendable team. i ended up finishing 18th, have no idea what to do with tatics or training let alone know what to do with in game tactics. My question is where do i start. So can yous please give me some tips on how and where to get started with this great game

Hello Craig! and welcome to the forums. I think you should probably start by reading as much as you can from the tactics bible in the tactics and training forum. I'll give you some good training schedules if you want, they're not my creation but they are by some guy called maymay or something, and with these training schedules you just put the plyers in the one that represents their position. If you dont want to create your own tactics then there are plwnty available for download from the tactics and trianing forum too. I would suggest you start as an easy team if you're new to fm, someone like Barcelona or Chelsea. This way you will be able to gradually learn the ins and outs of fm. If you have any more quastions dont be afraid to ask. :thup:

The first place to look mate is the tactics forum some great posts in there that will guide you through how to best use your players within a specific tactic.

Hi Craig,

As the others have stated check out the tactics bible in the tactics forum.

Tactics should very much be your first stop - but you should think about tactics in a 'now' and 'later' scenario. Look at your players skills and ratings to see how they can play now and then work towards playing a certain way in the future.

Considering you're in League 2 I would say that players with attributes of 10 in key areas will do well.

For everything you want to know about tactics you might want to read this Link. Everything in there is the best of the best. I know it might seem a lot of reading, but it will all be worth it in the long run.

If you have questions about tactics though its better you post it in the tactics forum as this forum is for players.. You might also want to read the forum rules before posting too so you know how to post and get a rough idea of how to do it
