I'd prefer young players who I can actually see develop on my own after a season or two. In my AC Milan save I actually bought Merida who was a good rotation player but he has a random PA. Looking for a natural CM playmaker in the vein of Fabregas and preferably younger (though I know it's quite impossible considering he's only 20...)

Then go for Banega mate. I know he's not a natural CM but is much better there. Becomes great in a couple of years.

I'd second the hulk about Essien.
IMHO, he is the best Natural MC in the game. He's just stellar :thup:

He's AWESOME going forward mate. He's not that good as a DM even though he's a natural DM. Bit like Pirlo and Xabi Alonso. Just get him and retrain him as a CM and keep playing him there. He's pretty good at the start of the game itself. Just gets better.

Alright I'll see how he turns out after a few seasons. Alonso just can't really do the job for me as he doesn't dominate the midfield like Gerard.

Btw, has anybody have any experience with Michael Johnson? My scouts have been raving about him whole season but his stats doesn't seem really special. He IS a natural CM after all but I wonder how he turns out in game?
