I've noticed that some players can be laonmed for the entire season, but others you can only loan in blocks of 3 months (in england this is, not sure about elsewhere).

Anybody know the logic behind this, ie which players can you only loan for 3 mths and why that is so?

I always thought it was to do with what part of the season it was, I.E. in the summer i always noticed i could only loan a player for 3 months.

I seem to recall that (in England at least) players under 25 could be loaned for the entire season, but over that age only 3 months.

Might be wrong mind.

I thought it was 23 and under, i know in real life now its either 3 months or the whole season for players under 23, and only 3 months max (1 spll only per season) for those over 23. Again if this is not correct sum1 please correct me

It also depends on how long a player has left on their contract.

In Germany loans typically last to the end of June.
